The annual Search and Rescue Dog Association SARDA “Scotland” assessment weekend was held at the Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe on the weekend of the 14th to 16th March 2008. All who attended were thankful for the good weather.

Angus Steven and his dog “Tally” won the Madras trophy which is awarded to the best novice dog at the assessment weekend.

SARDA Scotland are grateful for the support of Burns Pet Nutrition for the supply of dog food for all of the active search dogs.

Five dogs were assessed over the weekend going though a stock check with a local shepherd as well as familiarisation with flares and pirotechnics. On the Sunday the Royal Navy helicopter gave the handlers and dogs experience of being winched into and out of a helicopter.
